Michael brings more than 20 years of experience in wealth and asset management working with private investors and high net worth family groups. He enhances Waypoint’s open architecture investment platform by providing expertise in alternative investments. He also has extensive experience in sourcing, underwriting, diligencing, and investing in alternative investments on behalf of his clients.
He joined Waypoint as a Partner after advising clients over the last 11 years at an Atlanta based RIA. He transitioned to the independent advisory model after starting his career at Citigroup-Salmon Smith Barney. Michael earned a Bachelor of Science from Vanderbilt University in 1996 and the Certified Financial Planner® designation in 2003.
He and his wife, Jennifer, live in Atlanta with their three children. He is actively involved in coaching at Buckhead Baseball and Northside Youth Organization (NYO). Michael enjoys staying fit by playing pickleball, squash and tennis.
